Sisko Electrofanatik Drops New ‘Ametista’ EP

The three track EP is out via Terminal M and also features a remix by Tiger Stripes.

Terminal M is a highly respected record label run by Monika Kruse who is a veteran of the German club scene.

New on Terminal M is a record label debut from Italian artist Sisko Electrofanatik who is no stranger to the roster of established record labels, as his music can also be found on the likes of Carl Cox’s Intec and Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave.

Sisko Electrofanatik also runs his own records label called Gain Records and his music is often charted inside the Top 10 Best Sellers in Beatport’s techno section.

Drumcode regular Tiger Stripes also leaves his mark on the release with a standout remix that mixes the brutality of the upbeat EP’s title track with a Balearic breakdown.

It’s hard to pick a favourite, but the EP’s opening track “Ametista” could well be what many consider their stand out, as it has an understated style that unfolds with building momentum. Its chunky kick drum and acid-line lead into a suspense-building breakdown that switches through the gears before the bassline and kick drum slam back in.

Tiger Stripes’ remix of Ametista rivals the original and has a very unique style with its added breakdown melody and more prominent use of the vocal textures teased in the original.

“Solar Rock” finishes the release with a tantalising lead arpeggio synth underpinned with a rumbling bassline and a solid kick drum. Offbeat stabs keep the groove interesting by playing call and response with the kick drum.
