Tash – All I Want (Stellar Fountain)

The latest release on Stellar Fountain welcomes Tash back to the label for a brand new single.

The Greek artist and Movement Recordings label boss has appeared twice previously on the Hungarian imprint, both being remixes from 2015. Now stepping up for his first single Tash presents his latest studio creation entitled ‘All I Want’ alongside remixes from Danny Lloyd, Erich Von Kollar and George Fil.

When not planning some of Greece’s biggest events or running one of the longest standing progressive house imprints around Tash manages to find time to craft a dance floor bomb or two and ‘All I Want’ is certainly that. Beginning with a powerful kick, aquatic designs and neatly tailored percussion the piece slowly builds. Warm bass swells, alien-like effects and mystical motifs soon surround the framework and before you know it the mood is quite intriguing. Played out over ten minutes the track is broken up by a break carried by a captivating vocal which has a vortex like effect as the beats fade back in, with the full groove eventually dropping in with bass changes to follow. It’s deeper that what we’re used to from Tash and should hit the spot for any heady listener.

Fresh off a massive single on ICONYC Danny Lloyd provides the first remix and his smooth, alluring style works wonders here. Driving from the outset, there’s a buzzing energy coming from its core as synth swells and glassy harmonics converge for several gorgeous moments. Not hard to see why he’s become a Hernan Cattaneo fave with this modern progressive flair. Definitely one for the progressive elite and a great complement to the deeper original as well.

Next up Erich Von Kollar delivers his first production since reworking Robert R. Hardy and Amber Long’s ‘Fade In My Dreams’ a month ago. As one third of the Stellar Fountain team the Hungarian artist is making his sixteenth appearance on the label and also has releases on Dopamine Music, ICONYC and MNL to his credit. There’s always something unique about Erich’s productions and he’s delivered something very interesting here. With the original being quite moody and deep Erich has expanded on that with interesting design and a very foreboding vibe. The vocal plays nicely over a warm, groovy foundation while a cluster of glassy motifs work some hypnotic magic. The break comes off a touch cinematic, decaying to dead silence before an impactful return. Excellent remix from Erich.

The release concludes with George Fil providing the final remix and making his label debut in the process. As part of the Movement Recordings roster the Greek artist has not only supplied several remixes for the label but also compiled their ‘Modern Filosophy’ collection in 2015. Here he closes the release out nicely with a very ominous sounding interpretation of ‘All I Want’. There’s a nice organic quality about this mix, from the percussion to it’s rough and rugged groove, there are a lot of sonic attributes to marvel at. It’s breakbeat style cadence is what’s most appealing though, very interesting from a rhythmic perspective and likely dynamite on the dance floor as well. Wicked remix from George and a large release from Stellar Fountain. Don’t miss it.
