Kermesse Drop New ‘Limbo’ EP

The four track release is out now via The Magic Movement

Kermesse are an organic house duo known for their music on labels such as Sol Selectas, Bar 25 Music, Stil Vor Talent and LNDKHN.

The Magic Movement is an enchanting organic house record label run by Noema and its latest release is a four-track EP by Kermesse.

Kermesse are well-known within the label’s roster and this new release utilises trippy vocals and upbeat melodies to create magical tracks that have all the right ingredients for shaking up the dance floor.

Based in Argentina, Kermesse are a duo who often perform live and sing their own vocals rather than use samples. They have an atmospheric style with stripped-back beats that include lots of atmosphere.

First on the release is “On the Road” which opens the EP with a chugging groove and hallucinogenic vocals that give the track a psychedelic vibe.

Second is the title track “Limbo” which shows a lot of similarities to its predecessor, but the main differences are the lyrical content of the vocal and the fluttering little melody line that is introduced during the breakdown.

Third is “Melting”, which is built around trippy vocals and a spiralling synth line to create a mystifying vibe that is extremely mind-blowing.

“Wawanko” moves away from the formula of the other tracks and instead focuses on sampled vocals and intricate synths that twist and turn with ripples of modulation.
