Disclosure Announced For 75th DJ-Kicks Compilation

The UK based duo have provided a DJ mix that includes two of their own unreleased tracks.

DJ-Kicks is an iconic mix compilation series that since it started in the ‘90s has presented exclusive DJ sets by people ranging from Carl Craig to Seth Troxler.

Now three-quarters of the way to its landmark century edition, it has marked the 75th with a mix by one of the world’s biggest DJs, as Disclosure has headlined events everywhere from London to Australia.

The announcement of Disclosure’s mix comes alongside the release of their new and exclusive track “Observer Effect” which is being released by !K7 Records which is the brand behind the DJ-Kicks compilation series.

Observer Effect is one of two tracks that are new from Disclosure and being released alongside the compilation. They have also included an exclusive edit they made of ONIPA’s track “Fire”.

The mix also features music from other producers including East End Dubs, Pépe and Harry
Wolfman.

Guy Lawrence is one half of Disclosure, and talking about the mix, he said: “Most of the mix is presenting what you can do with house,” then continued: “And that’s basically our career: trying to move house forward, whether it’s with songwriting or using different genres or different languages. The mix should represent where we’re at now; and where we’re at now is clubby.
