Hi Guys, can you start by telling us about yourselves, and how you first got into electronic music?

Paco: Hi I’m Paco Wegmann, born in Germany, raised in Romania. The first time I got into electronic music was with my father, he always listened to house and techno and took me to clubs with him.
From there it became a way of life and I fell in love with this culture, whatever I feel deep inside I express it through my music. I don’t follow trends, I stick to who I am, this is what defines me !

Sirus Hood: Hey I’m Sirus Hood, born in Algiers, raised in Paris. When I was 10, older friends of mine made me listen to cassettes recorded in a club. It was house music, and it instantly triggered a passion within me.

Could you talk us through your new track “Rush Hour”, and the EP that it features on?

Sirus Hood: Rush Hour is an explosive track, with high and constant energy. It is fast, and works like an energy drink during a set.
The Rip Tide EP also includes ‘Rip Tide’, which is the A-side track. Similar BPM, but different vibe. ‘Rip Tide’ is inspired by Dance Mania, DJ Deeon. ‘Rush Hour’ is inspired by Ron Hardy.

Paco: We created Rush Hour as more aggressive approach for dance floors and it works in every situation if you are into the genre.

How did you meet the team behind Hot Creations who are releasing your new EP, and is this your first release for the imprint?

Paco: I actually met Jamie through wAFF and Richy Ahmed, they sent my music to him a few years ago, I then signed on Hottrax and now im here, I’m feeling blessed.
Many thanks to Jamie and Lee for giving us the opportunity to be on Hot Creations and to all the team behind that continues to do an amazing work !

Sirus Hood: Before meeting Jamie Jones, I met a lot of people close to him. I started to send him my music after realizing that he was playing some of my released tracks. We stayed in contact. Last summer I was at DC10 when I heard Jamie playing ‘Rip Tide’. He didn’t know I was in the DJ booth. I met him again in other parties in Ibiza, and I believe this is what unlocked this release. This is my first release on the imprint.

Which other labels have you worked with, and what’s been your proudest moment to date?

Sirus Hood: I worked with RAWthentic, Cajual, Dirtybird, Sola, Wow!, Under No Illusion, Cuff.
My proudest moment to date was the first time I played in Brazil, in front of thousands of people in 2014, the crowd knew all my tracks.

Paco: Hottrax, Elrow, Viva Music, Kwench, Pets, Savor, Origins.
My proudest moment to date was signing on Hottrax. For me, Jamie is the best and whoever knows me knows that I’m a huge fan to say the least. When I realised that my music was played by him and that I got the chance to release on his imprint I was extremely happy, I couldn’t believe it.

Have there been any big-name DJ’s supporting your music, and who is the DJ/producer that inspires you the most?

Paco: Yes totally, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Solardo, Cassy, DJ Sneak, Hot Since 82 and the list goes on and on.
The DJ that inspires me the most is Jamie Jones, his unique style of mixing and track selection is what makes the difference between him and the others, and that’s why he is who he is. The producer that inspires me the most… It is hard to answer this one, there are so many amazing producers out there that create quality music. But my main inspiration comes from old school stuff and I always try to combine it with today’s sound.

Sirus Hood: Yes, my work is regularly supported by the big players such as Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Claude VonStroke, Nathan Barato, Carlo Lio…
My biggest inspirations are Chicago House legends Paul Johnson, DJ Deeon, DJ Sneak, DJ Pierre, Ron Hardy…

What’s next in your schedule after the Hot Creations release hits stores ‪on the 31st of January?

Sirus Hood: I’m working on my first album Chicago House oriented, and in collaboration with the legends who created House Music. I also officially remixed legendary tracks, that should be released this year.

Paco: I got a few collabs with Reelow, Kid Enigma, Sirus Hood and more in the making.

Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers about?

Paco: Yes, whatever you do in life, do it with passion and love and the results will come sooner or later. Just believe in yourself and work, don’t let anyone stand between you and your dreams.

Sirus Hood: And don’t forget to buy the EP
