Mala Strana Brings Melodic Techno Heat from Dallas in ‘Enceladus’

Rising out of the Dallas, Texas underground is Desert Hearts Black’s latest EP contributor, Mala Strana. If you’re not familiar, you might have seen his name in passing on labels like Audiophile Deep and Solée’s iconic Parquet Recordings. He brings us a proper heater in ‘Enceladus’, a three-piece EP built for the afterhours. Ominous melodies immediately suck us in at the start of its namesake track, building in power until it comes together in roaring harmony post-breakdown. ‘Enceladus’ does well in maintaining its momentum, passing into an equally sinister middle cut, “Awakened”. Indeed, it makes for a quite a buzzy and stimulating listen. “Breathe You In” finishes things off cohesibely, with a larger emphasis on its percussion.

The record serves as a fitting follow-up to Mala Strana’s debut on Desert Hearts Black through its ‘Gateways’. Order a copy here.
