Hannes Bieger Is Making His Australian Debut On September 4th In Melbourne

He will be playing at Courtyard in Melbourne alongside Fur Coat, Steve Ward, Brian Fantana and Ebony Willis.

Hannes Bieger is a Berlin based melodic house and techno artist who is famed for his releases on record labels including Bedrock Records, Balance Music and Poker Flat.

He has been producing music for many years and was an accomplished studio engineer working on other peoples music many years before finding his own success as a solo artist.

On September 4th he will be making his Australian debut when he plays at the Bourke Street Courtyard in Melbourne alongside Fur Coat who is the event’s other international headliner.

Hannes Bieger has played all over the world and is known for his hybrid style. Talking about his live setup: “There are so many ways of setting up an electronic live act,” he says. “I basically play with Ableton Live on the software side of things, but I also bring a lot of hardware, including a DSI Prophet-6 synth and a Moog Sub 37 – I can’t leave the house without at least one Moog instrument.”

Talking about his Australian debut, Hannes Bieger said: “I have many friends who have toured there a lot, and over the years I’ve worked with bunch of Australian artists as a studio engineer – sometimes very closely. I definitely have an idea of what to expect, although I can’t wait to finally experience everything myself. I’m also fascinated by wildlife and nature in general, and that’s a very exciting aspect. I hope I have time to see and do as many things as I can!”

The event is being promoted by Ripple in association with Balance Music and there will also be local support from Steve Ward, Brian Fantana and Ebony Willis.
