Germany’s Airbeat One Is Postponed Until September 8th to 12th

Originally planned for mid-July 2021, the event will now be two months later.

Airbeat One is a German festival held in the town of Neustadt-Glewe, and its 2021 edition has been pushed back until September 2021 after originally being planned for mid-July.

Headliners including Armin van Buuren, Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki, Charlotte de Witte, Paul Kalkbrenner, Lost Frequencies and Robin Schulz are all still confirmed for the new dates.

Tickets will also remain valid for the new date so those still wishing to attend don’t need to worry about rebooking.

Postponing the dates was a decision made with the help of organisers, authorities and emergency services that were all in agreement, which made sense to push back the date. This will allow more time for the vaccine rollout across Germany, plus other parts of Europe where guests are expected to be travelling from.

Along with the new dates comes a well-thought-out health and safety plan, which includes the implementation of a test strategy.

It’s expected that those who have been vaccinated or have natural antibodies after recovering from a COVID-19 infection will have unrestricted event access in Germany, while others will have to provide negative test results in order to attend.

More details on what’s required of attendees along with other pandemic related restrictions will be announced over the coming weeks. What appears certain, is that Airbeat One, in compliance with all protective measures, is hoped to have the same number of visitors as in previous years.

Here is the statement by Sebastian Eggert, the organiser of the Airbeat One Festival: “After we have played through all relevant scenarios with the responsible partners, authorities and offices, we were able to jointly agree on the 8th to 12th of September 2021. The constructive discussions with the responsible authorities and the announcement from the Netherlands that, according to the Dutch government, festivals will be allowed to take place there again from 30 June, as well as the news from Austria with major events from August, gave us an additional motivation boost to work with even more high pressure on this year’s edition of the Airbeat One Festival. We hope that the development will continue to stabilize and look forward to celebrating with our fans and the artists at the Neustadt-Glewe airfield in September.

All purchased tickets for July will remain valid for the new date on 8th to 12th September.
