Kraftwerk Announce 2023 Australian Tour

They are playing dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth between the 4th and 15th of December.

Kraftwerk are electronic music pioneers from Germany.

Kraftwerk have announced an Australian 2023 tour including dates in Brisbane (Monday 4th December), Sydney (Wednesday 6th December), Melbourne (Friday 8th December), Adelaide (Tuesday 12th December), and Perth (Friday 15th December). They are also confirmed to play at Victoria’s Meredith Music Festival, which runs between the 9th and 11th of December. The tour also includes New Zealand dates in Wellington (Wednesday 29th November), and Auckland (Friday 1st December).

Widely considered the founders or electronic music, Kraftwerk are a German band that have been making music with synthesisers and drum machines since the ’70s. Many of the early house and techno pioneers site Kraftwerk as a main influence, and their music was often the first-time people in the general public had heard electronic sounds created by synthesis.

Their classic albums such as Trans-Europe Express and Die Mensch·Maschine are iconic, and Kraftwerk are also famed for their live performance style where the band members pose as chic looking robots.

It’s a rare chance to see Kraftwerk play on Australian soil, as the last time they performed down under was in 2013, and it’s expected that tickets will sell out fast.

You can buy pre-sale tickets from the 17th of July with general sale tickets being available from the 19th of July.
