Rave The Planet is a street party that takes place this weekend in Berlin, Germany.

The parade will travel through the streets of Berlin on Saturday the 8th of July ending at the famous Siegessäule (Victory Column) and features DJ sets from the likes of Westbam, Nakadia, Anja Schneider, Simina Grigoriu, M.A.N.D.Y, Super Flu and Dr. Motte.

Dr. Motte founded the Berlin Lover Parade, and he is also behind Rave The Planet, which is a non-profit event that aims to protect techno culture as an UNESCO Intangible Heritage, and revitalise the vibe of the Berlin Love Parade.

This weekend will be the second edition of Rave The Planet and to help get people warmed up for a day of dancing through the streets, Dr. Motte has collaborated with Jam El Mar to produce an official 2023 anthem.

Out now, via the Rave The Planet record label, “Music Is The Answer” is a peak time techno track that embodies the timeless sound of techno.

Dr. Motte has been releasing techno since the ‘90s on prestigious labels ranging from Tresor to NovaMute, and Jam El Mar is one half of the iconic Jam & Spoon duo that in the ‘90s and early ‘00s, released numerous techno hits.

“Music Is The Answer” enlists the vocals of Ellen who is part of the Rave The Planet event team, and its vocals embody the event’s message to the world. The track’s acid synth line builds tension, while the booming kick drum provides unstoppable momentum, as it builds towards the spine-tingling breakdown. The breakdown has uplifting melodies that create a brief moment of euphoria before the bassline kicks back in with its dark intensity.
