Picnic Stuff is one of Australia’s most respected and longest-running underground electronic music events. Promoted by Carly Roberts who DJs under the alias Kali, Picnic Stuff will turn 15 at the same time as hosting its last party on May 26th 2023.
The event has had a rich history and has been a vital part of the Australian club scene, giving iconic international DJs their first ever gig down under, including the likes of DJ Harvey, Peggy Gou and Jayda G.
Going out in style, Picnic Stuff’s last event will be at the world-famous Sydney Opera House and feature headline DJ sets from Levon Vincent, Barney Kato b2b Reenie and Carly Roberts will play as Kali.
News of the event’s final party comes via a lengthy Instagram post that you can read in full below, but it’s perhaps best summarised with the statement that reads: “With a heavy heart, but a positive outlook, today I announce the final curtain call(s), but I do so without saying goodbye and good riddance, as if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that I do have more to give.”
