Vintage Culture & Franky Wah Collaborate On New Single ‘Alive’

The track is out now via SHÈN Recordings.

Vintage Culture and Franky Wah team up to drop an epic progressive house track.

Brazilian DJ icon Vintage Culture has teamed up with British DJ and producer Franky Wah for the euphoric new single ‘Alive’, which is out via Franky’s new label, SHÈN Recordings.

Centred around carnal, other-wordly vocals and a pulsating bassline, ‘Alive’ is a transcendent club anthem. The two producers combine their talents for crafting boundary-pushing house music, lifting the track to dazzling heights with shimmering synths and masterfully crafted drops. Fittingly, the single is coming out on SHÈN Recordings, the record label launched by Franky Wah last year as an outlet for conceptual music that pushes the boundaries of progressive club culture.

“This was a true collaboration of two artists with a shared passion for music and a desire to create something special”, Vintage Culture says of the project. “The result is a track that embodies our energy and spirit. I couldn’t be more excited to share it ‘Alive’ with the world.”

Reflecting on the recording process, Franky Wah says: “I was sent the bare bones of the record on a Thursday night and instantly had to get in the studio. I felt really passionate about the track and ended up nearly finishing it by Friday morning. I played it out for the first time at the Anjunadeep Drumsheds show and it absolutely went off and since then it’s been one of my most requested ID’s. Myself and Vintage Culture knew that we wanted to release a record together and this sonically felt like a perfect fit.”

From the tiny municipality of Mundo Novo, Brazilian house DJ Vintage Culture has risen to international stardom through his songwriting, studio productions and charismatic stage presence. Already a household name in his homeland of Brazil, he has really been announced as the world’s #1 House DJ in the DJ Mag ‘Top 100’, while climbing to #11 in the overall poll. Having announced his debut album, Vintage Culture recently released the first single off the project ‘If I Live Forever’ ft. Izzy Bizu, marking the start of a transformative new sound and new era.

A truly contemporary artist, Franky Wah’s music epitomises the exhilarating power of club culture. Born and raised in Yorkshire, in the North of England, Franky has an intuitive understanding of emotion, dance floor energy and catchy hooks culminating in a sound that resonates with both the underground and commercial ends of the dance music spectrum. A series of chart-topping releases have catapulted him into stardom and earned him a dedicated fanbase, with glittering endorsements from the likes of Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Mistajam, and a recently announced debut Ibiza residency at Club Chinois.

With both artists gearing up for huge summer seasons, ‘Alive’ promises to breathe new life into stadium-sized crowds across the globe. As well as hectic festival schedules for both artists, Franky Wah is set for his debut Ibiza residency at Club Chinois this summer, while Vintage Culture continues his own famed residency at Hi Ibiza.

‘Alive’ finds Vintage Culture and Franky Wah in perfect harmony, resulting in a progressive house gem that’s set to become a fan favourite for both artists this year.
