Medusa Odyssey and Soberboy’s new collaborative organic house release, Ze Del, includes two beautiful tracks with Persian influence.
It’s the first time these artists have collaborated, and their two-tracks together have compelling grooves with a cinematic vibe and melodic flow.
Soberboy is relatively new when it comes to making music, but he has years of experience as a DJ. Based in Dubai, he has spent the last 15 years playing in more than 100 venues, and has helped establish the local electronic music scene. He has previously featured two tracks on Yumsong Records, but Ze Del marks his debut on Sol Selectas.
Sol Selectas is Sabo’s record label, and Medusa Odyssey are no stranger to the imprint, after contributing to the label’s compilation releases. They are an Argentinian duo living in Ibiza, and in addition to making their own tracks, they also make music for legendary Persian singer, Bahramji.
“Ze Del” is first up, and it’s got a Middle Eastern vibe with stunning female vocals, and mystical pads playing Arabic chord progressions, accompanied by the melody of an electric santoor.
The second track, “Can’t Sleep” also has a powerful female vocal at the heart of its epic sound. Its flutes dance around the cinematic pads, and the drums deliver an irresistible release of mid-tempo energy.
