UMEK Drops New EP ‘Exodus’

The two track release is out now via his record label, 1605.

UMEK is one of the world’s most accomplished techno producers.

1605 is a record label run by UMEK and the imprint’s latest outing features two thumping techno tracks from the boss man himself.

UMEK has been releasing music for over two decades and during that time has racked up a catalogue of music on labels such as Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid, Carl Cox’s Intec and Chris Liebing’s CLR.

Titled the ‘Exodus’ EP, it includes two tracks that are overflowing with peak time energy. Each track is a rollercoaster ride with drops and climbs that will keep the listener filled with anticipation.

First up is the title cut “Exodus” which starts its engine with the pounding of a thickset kick drum and the thrashing of razor-sharp hi-hats. Its vocal talks of a future between humans and machines, which adds to the track’s intense atmosphere and explosive sound.

Second on the release is “Night Will Never End” which fuses a pulsating bassline with call-and-response atmospherics that build towards the timeless vibe of the breakdown. Fusing rising chords and a powerful vocal that mentions the unity of dancing, it’s a track all techno fans can relate to.
