The store is run by DJ Taimur (TAIMUR & FAHAD) who relocated to Miami from Brooklyn in New York. He has DJ’ed all over the world, and also runs his own label Blkmarket Music.

DJ Taimur’s new store is operated in partnership with his wife Gina, and specialises in both new and second-hand records.

It stocks exclusively electronic music spanning genres such as house, techno, electro, breaks, minimal, drum & bass and more.

Giving a statement to Resident Advisor, DJ Taimur said: “After collecting dance records since ’99, being the head dance buyer at the old Halcyon from 2008 through 2016, I have put together my expertise as a collector, buyer and DJ during the pandemic and we launched T-Bag Records online,” then contained to say “We were waiting for the right time to open a physical shop and the stars have aligned.”

The shop will be open by appointment on Monday, with regular hours between 1 PM and 7:30 PM Tuesdays through Saturdays. The shop is closed Sundays. (The thrift store is open from 12 to 8 PM daily.)
