Sven Väth and Gregor Tresher showcase their album with the new single “Feier”.
Sven Väth has revealed plans for a new single called “Feier” that translates to “Celebrations,” which can only be assumed is a nod to the fact the end of the pandemic is now in sight.
The track’s title also explains the hashtag “#svfeiern” that’s been seen for some time under various Cocoon social media posts.
Even more exciting than the single being the first new track from Sven Väth in 15 years, it has been taken from a forthcoming album, so fans can soon expect to hear much more from one of techno’s most iconic artists. Although, people will need to be patient, as the album is currently scheduled for 2022.
Both the single and the album were made in collaboration with fellow German artist Gregor Tresher. Apparently, the pair had originally just planned to make a single track together, but when the creative juices started to flow, the guys found that they didn’t want to stop working together.
Currently, there are no public audio streams for the single, but “Feier” is an atmospheric track that blurs the lines between techno and house which has hypnotic vocals and great suspense.
The lyrics have a theme that ties in with the title, and the building excitement of nightclubs across the world slowly starting to open their doors again. Here are the lyrics of the single, which share a sentiment that will no doubt resonate with many across the world…
“From now on, from now on.
The source we need, the beat, the beat, the beat.
Which intensifies the longing so much.
It’s the source we need, the beat, the beat, the beat. That holds us together.
Which intensifies the longing so much.
I want to celebrate!
… wants to feel again, sweat and touch you.
Let me fall deep into these worlds that I was missing.
I want to celebrate!
From now on it’s time to celebrate, celebrate with you. From now on it’s time to celebrate, celebrate with you.
… wants to feel again, sweat and touch you.
Let me fall deep into these worlds that I was missing.
I want to celebrate!”
