‘Summer Of Love’ is a new festival that will launch this summer in Manchester, UK.
Located in an abandoned building in central Manchester, the event will take place over the August Bank Holiday running on the 21st and 22nd between the hours of 11 AM and 11 PM.
Headliners include Raresh, Petre Inspirescu and Rhadoo who will be playing together under their shared alias of [A:RPIA:R].
Alongside the Romanian headliners, other international DJs performing at the event include Dyed Soundorom, Shonky b2b Traumer, Onur Ozer, Priku, and Cristi Cons b2b Vlad Caia.
There is also a selection of UK talents on the bill include Bobby O’Donnell and Annie Errez of Leeds’ Mint, Ethel, Josh Baker, MOTUS DJs, and Into The Woods.
Animal Crossing are the promoters behind the event, and they have set up the festival following a proven track record of successful events including stage takeovers at other festivals including Gottwood and Glastonbury. They have also run their own independent events in unusual locations, such as derelict railway arches and abandoned car showrooms.
Focused on creating unique dance music experiences, a spokesperson for Animal Crossing said: “This is our moment to reunite, rejoice and celebrate the reopening of the world we love and have missed so dearly,” then continued “the Summer of Love Festival represents our freedom, our connection, our artistic expression in an environment that has been created bespoke for the two-day music, arts & mindful experience.”
In addition to the DJs and other live music performances, the festival will also have a record fair hosted by Vinyl Pimp and Basement Wax, in addition to a food market and wellness elements.
