Movement Detroit Reveals Its ‘Micro Movement’ Festival

Running between May 28 and May 31 in the city that birthed techno, DJs playing include Kevin Saunderson, Stacey Pullen & Terrence Parker.

Movement Detroit cancelled its main 40,000 person event due to the pandemic, but this month will run a smaller-scale event called ‘Micro Movement’.

Micro Movement is running between May 28th and May 31st across multiple venues in Detroit, which is the city that birthed techno and has been instrumental in the development of electronic music.

Usually, the event would run at Hart Plaza, but this year’s smaller event is spread over a few smaller venues, each of which will have an extremely limited capacity.

Yesterday, Paxahau who are the promoters running the event tweeted a full line-up which includes the likes of Kevin Saunderson, Kyle Hall, Mona Black, Norm Talley, Hotwaxx Hale, Delano Smith. Stacey Pullen, Ladymonix, Terrence Parker, Wajeed, DJ Holographic, and more…

It’s also confirmed that it will be free entry for all those who are able to attend, but face masks will be mandatory. It’s not yet known whether a negative COVID-19 test or social distancing is required.

To date, 33% of Detroit residents over 16 years old have received their first COVID-19 vaccine. Detroit is based in Michigan where 55% of people living in the state have had their initial vaccine dose.
