Post-pandemic, E1 envisions a return driven by reflections during their period of absence. They promise a revitalised venue that offers experiences that only London can; with communities only London could have; for a multicultural audience that only London has.

Following work with industry-leading experts on diversity, E1 promises to push forward to develop the future of London’s clubbing experience, through forward-thinking, diverse event programming and creative direction. From this point on, E1 is ‘Just For You London’.

From globally renowned figures to grassroots London institutions, and a dedicated policy to host some of London’s most prominent LGBTQIA+ promoters, E1 is proud to provide a platform for the city’s truly diverse communities. As a sign of their commitment to promote diversity, E1 has launched a new initiative where they will be tracking and publishing data on the venue’s programming diversity every quarter (3 months). E1 sees this, alongside their work with valued community partners, as a strong statement of intent to their continued progress as an inclusive venue, #justforyoulondon

E1 has been at the beating heart of London’s underground club culture for nearly a decade. From grassroots beginnings as a clandestine pop-up venue, hosting events for The Hydra, Boiler Room, Stormzy, Resident Advisor, Ninja Tune and more, E1 is now a permanent fixture in the city’s vibrant cultural landscape.

With a state of the art sound system, E1 is the first UK venue to house Funktion One’s BR132A Bass units which make up a wall of sound across both of its clubrooms. E1 has invested heavily in soundproofing and acoustic treatment which delivers its customers an unparalleled and unrestricted sound experience. It’s new website, e1ldn.co provides a complete overview of the production and sound facilities, as well as full details about inclusivity policies and their history.

Ahead of the ‘E1 Presents’ series paties, E1 will host a wide spectrum of shows every weekend across the summer, starting with DanceOnArrival: Friday of Freedom taking place on 25th June, followed by Audiowhore’s 10th Birthday on Saturday 26th June. Saturday 10th July will see a huge daytime party from seminal drum and bass label, Metalheadz, who pass the baton to Heartless Crew for an all-night session with sets from DJ Spoony, Masterstepz, DJ Petchy and more. Grassroots R&B, Soul and Dancehall comes from Street Sounds on July 17th and Saturday 24th July sees Dazed with Hector Couto, Joey Daneil and Dimmish. July rounds-off with a weekend of jump-up sounds from DNB Allstars on Friday 30th and Steppers Weekender on Saturday 31st.

Head Programmer at E1, Dolan Bergin said: “Having been part of the team that first launched E1 as a venue, this project is close to my heart. While the Covid 19 restrictions have disrupted the live music industry, we took the opportunity to pause and deconstruct E1 so we can present a new approach to its music programs and communication. We’ve worked hard to create a blueprint for E1 that places diversity at its core, laying the foundation as we continue to develop as a vital platform for culture to support emerging London talent. Dance music, by its nature, brings people together – something we’ve all missed sorely in the past year – and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to share music with one another again!

Pre-sale tickets are available from 12pm on Tuesday 27th April, with general sale from 3pm. You can register for presale tickets HERE
