Have You Ever Seen Someone Play Decks Made Out Of Lego?

Some people say a DJ set is like an extended piece of music made from Lego blocks, where each track is a brick in the overall structure

Well, Look Mum No Computer has taken this to a whole new level!

Someone on YouTube has spent some time building and designing a set of decks out of Lego, and we couldn’t help but smile when watching the video.

In times of the COVID-19 pandemic and clubs being closed, there have been moments where it’s all felt a bit bleak for electronic music and club culture. So, it’s nice whenever a light-hearted video or good news story comes along to give is a welcome distraction.

Inventor and musician Look Mum No Computer might be familiar to some for an older video where he made an organ out of Furby toys. Back to his silly antics, his latest video has a fully working set of decks made out of Lego.

The only bits not made of Lego are the essential electronics, but everything else down to the slipmats and tonearm is all Lego.

Even the motor system is made of Lego, and at the end of the video, there is a short scratching performance to showcase the decks working.

The video has been sponsored by Lego, so the creator presumably had some financial motivation behind his quirky creation, but that doesn’t detract from how fun and cool the video is.
