Australia’s The Journey Drop New Collab With Rachel May “Hollow” Feat. Alverie

Out now on UGENIUS Music, it also features remixes by TAYA. and Tristan Case.

The Journey is a Melbourne based duo that are at the forefront of Australia’s melodic house scene.

As DJs The Journey, made up of dynamic duo Jacob Malmo & Tom Evans who can regularly be found playing Aussie festivals such as Elements, Rainbow Serpent, Pitch Music & Arts, Subsonic and Strawberry Fields. Not to mention their debut tour in 2018 throughout Europe which was lined with an envious 8 hour long set at Berlin’s Sisyphos.

Not only are The Journey talented DJs, but they are also highly acclaimed producers whose tracks and remixes have found homes on some of electronic music’s most prestigious labels ranging from Bedrock to Stil Vor Talent.

Most recently the guys have dropped their new release in conjunction with Melbourne based DJ Rachel May, “Hollow” is out now on their label UGENIUS Music, feat. talented vocalist Alverie, The release also features remixes by TAYA. and Tristan Case.

TAYA. is an Australian talent from the Byron Bay hinterlands who’s deep and melodic style has previously featured on the likes of Yousef’s Circus Recordings, and Tristan Case, a Sydney based producer whose known for his music on imprints including Do Not Sit they are both quickly growing to be known as formidable forces in Australia’s house scene.

The release opens with the poignant melodies and soothing pads of the original mix, which features the haunting vocals of Alverie and an epic bassline that fills the groove with energy. TAYA.’s remix adds extra emphasis on the chunky bassline and percussive textures, while Tristan Case’s exquisite version is all about the pads and melody.
