Australia’s Muska Drops New EP ‘House Of Clashes’

The five-track release is out now via Euphorie Bezirk Records.

Muska is a well-known Australian DJ who regularly plays events such as Let Them Eat Cake and Strawberry Fields.

‘House of Clashes’ is a new EP by Australian artist Muska who delivers three solo tracks, alongside separate collaborations with Zubi and Coşkun.

The five-track release is an eclectic selection that ranges from breakbeat to peak-time techno, but all of the tracks are linked by their dark atmosphere and heavy basslines.

Based in Melbourne, Muska is well-known on the local festival circuit making regular appearances on the line-up of events such as Let Them Eat Cake and Strawberry Fields.

His career spans over 15 years and during that time he has also released tracks on imprints such as Loophole Recordings, Soupherb Records and Lo-Fi-45.

This latest EP comes via Euphorie Bezirk Records and opens with “Superficial Intelligence” which after a suspense-building intro with deep pads opens up into a heavy sub-bass layered with an atmosphere full of suspense.

“Velvet NRG” has a trippy vocal and pulsating bassline layered with stripped-back percussion. “Funky Ass Bass” is third on the release and it’s got a lurching bassline and glitchy synths that build towards an industrial breakdown.

“Listen” is the penultimate track and its raw sound design is fused with a throbbing bassline to create an eerie atmosphere full of tension.

“Polybzerk” closes the release with its old-school breakbeat and muffled vocals which build towards an epic synth section that closes out the track with some cosmic vibes.
