Hundreds of colorful partygoers gather in the open air, while metallic drum melodies soar through the speakers. Josefina Barreix’s vocals soon follow, serving as a pleasant complement to the harmoonies beneath. This scene became commonplace at Lee Burridge and other melodic house artists’ shows in recent months, and later, their streams—and it’s soundtracked by Valdovinos’ ‘Grizzly.’
The sought-after track, along with three others under an eponymous EP, has officially arrived on All Day I Dream. After a strong start by the aforementioned title track, ‘Autumn Leaves’ picks up the pace with lush melodies a chugging low-end. ‘C Moon’ keeps an even keel with silkier overtones, while ‘Night Whispers’ closes the EP off with fluttery percussion and eerie harmonic chords.
Valdovinos previously appeared on All Day I Dream alongside his Kermesse label co-founder, Facundo Mohrr, for the imprint’s recent ‘Summer’ and ‘Winter Sampler’ iterations. The Argentine talent triples as a resident on the renowned Frisky Radio, hosting his ‘Kermesse’ show every month.
