American record label Magician On Duty kick starts 2022 with an EP from Sanoi.

Sanoi is from Germany, but is currently based in New Zealand, and has previously showcased his sound on other imprints such as Bar 25, Beat & Path, A Tribe Called Kotori and Zehn Records.

Titled the ‘Empire Of The Sunrise Kingdom’ it’s a stunning two-track EP that has tranquil atmospherics blended with uplifting melodies and crisp percussion to create heart-warming organic house tracks.

The music has a poetic quality and a melodic groove that is in line with the style of DJs such as Lee Burridge or YokoO.

Opening the release is the EP’s title track Empire Of The Sunrise Kingdom, which leads to an extended breakdown, where ambient bird song is blended with poignant piano chords, before the percussion is reintroduced for a spine-tingling moment of dance floor bliss.

The second of the tracks is called ‘It’s All Love Baby’ and it focuses on a fluttering synth melody and compelling strings that intermingle with the organic percussion to create an enchanting mood full of splendour.
