‘Global Entry 5’ is a revitalising 10-track compilation with organic house and Afro grooves.
Sabo and his record label Sol Selectas present a magnificent release that is intended to warm the souls of people in the Western Hemisphere during their winter. The uplifting melodies and invigorating percussion of the tracks are also perfect for our Australian summer, as those same elements are the perfect soundtrack for the warm temperatures of our outdoor festival season.
There is so much incredible music on this quality release, including instant classic’s such as “Love Parade” by Safar (FR), which is an ingenious Afro house rework of Da Hool’s iconic “Meet Her at the Love Parade.”
KÖNI also opens the release with a techy remix of Sabo and Matanza’s track “Marimbora” which is a Sol Selectas classic. All of the other tracks are original pieces of work from the likes of German Brigante, A X L, G.O.D.A., Memo Rex, Joe Pea, Djolée, Ayala (IT), RUSKAR, Atlantis, Anza, LITCHI, Gionist and Sapoz.
Every track on this release is a standout production that will work in a DJ set or could be listened to when chilling out at home. They are tied together by their uplifting energy, and there is also a multi-cultural influence that shows how different countries interpret an uplifting theme.
The tracks on this release have roots in 12 different countries, and lyrics sung or spoken in various languages. This release also reminds us of how Sol Selectas is an American record label that embraces diversity and different world cultures.
