Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings is a leading organic house record label, and they are finishing off 2022 with a collaboration EP from Phonique & Bakka (BR).

They are two well-known producers who have come together for two brilliantly crafted tracks for their EP, “Watching You”. The guys have become regular collaborators previously working together for releases on the likes of Bar 25 Music, Sprinkler and Ritter Butzke Records.

Berlin’s Phonique needs little introduction as a DJ and producer who is one of Europe’s most in-demand electronic music artists. He has released four albums, and over 100 releases/remixes on labels such as Kindisch, Stil Vor Talent and Systematic Recordings.

Bakka is a Brazilian artist whose chart-topping tracks and regularly supported by the likes of Joris Voorn, Hernan Cattaneo and Solomun among others. He is also a talented producer who in recent times has become a regular collaborator with Phonique.

“I’m Watching You” opens the release with melodic synths and pulsating pads, which are layered under intricate melodies and the fast-flowing rhythms of crisp percussion to create an enchanting groove.

“Breathe” is a more percussion-focused track with delicate piano keys that are fused with epic pads that give the track a cosmic vibe, as it builds towards the tantalising suspense of the extended breakdown section before the release of the percussion hitting back in to lift the energy.
