Matthias Meyer drops a new two-track EP on his label Strangely Enough.

Based in Germany, Matthias Meyer is an iconic DJ and producer who has left his mark on the global clubbing community. He has had many top-selling original tracks on influential record labels such as Watergate Records, and he has featured remixes on labels ranging from Bedrock to Sol Selectas.

Matthias Meyer cut his teeth playing regular DJ sets in Berlin where he performed at iconic venues such as Watergate where he is a resident. His accomplished skills behind the decks have earned him a global reputation and he travels the world as a headline DJ whose been booked everywhere from the UK to America.

Strangely Enough is a record label that Matthias Meyer launched in 2020, and after its debut release, he now returns two years later to present “The Choir EP”.

“The Choir” is the first of the tracks, and it centres around the ethereal tones of a spine-chilling church choir that has been accompanied by breezy pads and crisp percussion. Its laid back and atmospheric vibe gives the track an epic sound that has cinematic elements blended with a dance floor groove.

Touch Of Magic is the EP’s second track, and it opens with the jovial melodies and uplifting pads which focuses on synthesised vocal chords. There is also a subtle disco influence in the bassline, which gives the track a funky undertone.
