Khat Drops Two New Singles ‘Red Light’ & ‘One Bar’

The tracks is out now on the District 47 record label, and there is also a remix from RawW.

Khat is a Spanish artist who recently dropped two new deep techno tracks on the District 47 record label.

He is a talented producer who has had previous releases on other noteworthy record labels including Elrow and Bitten.

The two, dancefloor-focused originals are both hypnotic tracks built around a locked groove that twists and turns with modulation and effects builds.

District 47 record label owner RawW also provides a remix of the track titled “Red Light”. RawW has so far kept his own music exclusive to District 47 and his remix maintains his presence on the imprint.

All three of the tracks are split into solo track releases, but they probably make more sense as a three-track EP, which is why we have collected them together as one package.

The original track Red Light is built around a thickset, throbbing bassline and Detroit-inspired pad sounds. It ripples with modulating tones and has stripped-back percussion.

RawW’s remix of Red Light is true to the original in the sense that it keeps the track’s core sound components, but thins the bassline to make room for more percussion. Although more percussive, the extra space gives it added atmosphere.

“One Bar” is the second of Khat’s original versions, and it’s an upbeat track with a psychedelic atmosphere created by the trippy vibe of the modulating arpeggio line. The tough percussion is sequenced into driving rhythms that fill the track with energy.
