Cesare vs Disorder is an Italian artist living in Brazil who is known for his forward thinking and quirky take on house music.
His latest release is a four-track EP on Canadian record label Suleiman and it’s a fantastic EP that’s infused with jazzy chords and trippy atmospherics at the heart of its stripped-back grooves.
This is the second time Cesare vs Disorder has featured on Suleiman and his music can also be found on other noteworthy record labels including Get Physical, Cocoon, Transmat, Crosstown Rebels and his own imprint Serialism Records.
The release opens with the title track “New Order”, which has looped piano chords layered with shuffling percussion and liquid textures undercut by string sweeps. “Abaya” is second on the release and it’s got warped synths that ripple between congas, snares and flickering hi-hats. “Limanade” has breakbeat percussion and glitchy synths nestled with bubbling textures, and “Sogno Di Una Notte Di Mezza Estate” closes the release with poppy vocals fused with dreamscape melodies.
