Carl Cox has announced on Instagram that he has a new album signed to Bartelsmann Music Group (BMG).
BMG is one of the world’s biggest record labels and has also worked with other prestigious electronic music artists including Aphex Twin, Fatboy Slim, and The Prodigy, so it seems safe to say that Carl Cox’s new album release will be in good hands.
The Instagram post on Carl Cox’s official page that announced news of the album states: “I had my first ever single out with BMG many years ago, so I couldn’t be more pleased to be signed there as a recording artist. Being around the studio all year during lockdown and digging deep has, I hope, set the foundations that will make the first album something special… Oh yes!”
This new album will be his first LP in 10 years after dropping his last record, ‘All Roads Lead To The Dancefloor’ in 2011. So far there has been no date announced for the album.
Although the album is coming, it could be a while before we get to hear it, as the same Instagram post announcing the album, also had this statement: “I’ve signed with BMG for my new album. Now I have to make it!”
Carl Cox is a godfather of electronic music, one of the industry’s most popular DJs and a successful producer who has many classic recesses ranging from House to Techno. So, it’s likely the album will feature an eclectic mix of styles.
