After taking a hiatus during the pandemic, Boiler Room Festival is returning in 2021.
Boiler Room Festival is a concept that combines a hybrid of digital and in-person events. This year it’s going global with parties in New York (September 10th), London (October 13th-16th) and Barcelona (November 26th & 27th).
Each of the parties will be streamed around the world via the brand’s various online platforms. So far, only a few of the line-up details have been announced, but an official statement on the Boiler Room website it states “No headliners”.
No headliners could be interpreted as all artists on the performance line-up are equal in skill and talent, or that they are focusing on giving exposure to fresh talent rather than rely on the pull of big-name artists.
So far, only the London line-up has been announced, and each of the days focuses on its own musical concept or genre. October 13th – “Jazz Mind,” October 14th – “Rap Fantasy,” October 15th – “System Sound” and October 16th – “Club” are the four-event concepts.
Alongside DJ sets and live music performances, the hybrid festival will also include talks, workshops and films.
In an official statement, Boiler Room describes the event as: “This triple festival bill will fully embrace the conceptual hybridity of our time – with IRL events broadcast online but also a digital program for everyone to attend.”
