Headliners include D.Tiffany, Roza Terenzi, Sally C, Byron Yeates, DJ JNETT, Guy Contact, Kia* and more…
The three-day camping event features three stages of music along with yoga and other well-being sessions plus numerous arts/creative programs.
It’s an event that provides a New Year’s Eve alternative for those who like their electronic music a little more alternative and raw. The three stages will range from ambient to more bass-heavy styles and there will also be stage two takeovers from Australian record labels Animalia and Techworld.
Cinzia Ubaldi, is Festival co-director, and she told Beat Magazine: “There was always so much pressure to be doing something really fun over New Year’s Eve. I always thought that a camping music festival would be the only thing that could live up to this expectation. There are absolutely some amazing camping festivals over New Year’s Eve that speak to other markets. But at the time, there were none that targeted my mates and I. So Tabula Rasa was created to fill a gap in the market simply by putting on the party that we wanted to attend.”
Along with international headliners such as Sally C, D.Tiffany and Byron Yeates, there is also a fine selection of home-grown Aussie talents such as Guy Contact and Hannah D.
Tabula Rasa is run by the team behind Plasma House Studios which is an organisation based in Naarm / Melbourne. They have studio spaces that they use to connect local talent with established international artists by offering them shared use of the equipment. This is to help grow local artists and strengthen the connection between the Australian scene with other parts of the world.
Festival co-director and music programmer, Will Dundon told Beat Magazine: “The programming intention for 2022 was to offer the most celebratory experience that we could. The return of travel helped us make that happen. We aim to provide a platform for global and Australian artists to connect and shape the distinctive identity that comes from a festival Down Under. Each artist on the bill has majorly contributed to the evolution of contemporary dance music. Many of the Aussie ones have been playing parties for years and deserve large-scale opportunities.”
Starting on the 30th of December 2022 and running until the 2nd of January 2023 it takes place in Grampians National Park near Melbourne and is located at 473 Henty Highway, Hamilton, Victoria.
This year also has a Bring Your Own Liquor Licence so people can bring their own alcohol to drink on-site during the festival. The full DJ line-up is below and you can find tickets plus more info HERE
