Magician On Duty is an American record label known for its deep and melodic sound with organic textures and enchanting melodies.

The label’s new EP is a four-track collaborative EP by Savaggio and Kostiya who are each making their Magician On Duty debut with this release.

Savaggio are a duo of brothers that are based in Berlin who are talented musicians and producers who play violin and often add the instrument to their tracks. In the past they have worked with other labels such as ThreeRecords, Woodwork Recordings and Natura Viva Black.

Kostiya is a Canadian artist who has also had tracks signed with Savaggio to ThreeRecords, and this is another exciting example of their combined talents, and the quality of the music is reflected by the DJ support from people ranging from Acid Pauli to Nick Warren.

There are also remixes featured from Wareika and Ki Ya Tori who each add their own stamp to the release. Wareika have been a feature of labels such as Supernature, Mobilee and Bar 25 Music with their atmospheric deep house style. Ki Ya Tori are well known for their own label Mimoton, which has been a main outlet for their music.

“Ellipsis” opens the release with its fragmented strings and dubby pads layered over crisp percussion and soothing pads. Wareika focus on the atmosphere and percussive textures with their trippy remix of Ellipsis, and Ki Ya Tori rework the same track into a melodic house version with spine-tingling melodies and breezy atmospherics. “Pinnacle” is second of the original tracks, and it closes out the release with its epic bass hook and ethereal pads.
