Police In France Broke Up A 15,000 Person Illegal Rave.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, France has still got a strict ban on people gathering in groups. Starting on Friday the 18th of June with the intention of running into the morning of Saturday the 19th, an illegal party was held in the small town of Redon.
It’s believed that the rave was organised in commemoration of a young man who fell into the Loire River and died two years ago. The incident happened at a festival in Nantes during a police operation.
Responding to this weekend’s illegal rave, the police gathered a total of 400 emergency personnel to dissolve the crowd of people.
Violent clashes broke out between police and ravers which caused injuries on both sides. As the violence escalated, there are reports of people throwing Molotov cocktails, boules and stones at security forces.
