‘People Just Do Nothing’ Announce Forthcoming Movie

Scheduled 18th of August, MC Grindah and the Kurupt FM crew have released the film’s trailer.

People Just Do Nothing is a hit TV show from the UK that spoofs DJ and MC culture.

Running a pirate radio show called Kurupt FM, the show’s characters are a UK Garage crew that is trying to make it big in the music industry, although just being big in London’s Brentford area makes them feel like superstars.

They have already conquered the exotic lands of places like Ipswich, and MC Grindah along with his gang are now setting their sights on Japan.

Originally the TV show was broadcast by the BBC, but Netflix exposed it to the world, and it’s become a global success with an international cult following.

It’s been over two years since the fifth and final season of the show first aired, and at that time it appeared that the gang had decided to put a permanent end to the project.

The film called ‘Big In Japan’ is set for release on the 18th of August, and it appears to have a full cast of main characters from the show. It’s been directed by Jack Clough, who previously worked on the original series plus other TV shows such as Skins.

The film synopsis reads: “Since the end of their pirate radio station, life has been quiet for the Kurupt FM boys, but everything is about to change. Chabuddy G steps excitedly back into his management role as Grindah, Beats, Steves and Decoy begin their journey to international stardom… But is Japan really ready for Kurupt FM?

Many don’t realise that before turning their hand to comedy, the People Just Do Nothing main cast was actually a serious music act, and since the success of their TV show they have performed Kurupt FM sets at events such as at the Glastonbury Festival.
