Josh Richards drops his third release on Flow Music and the release also features a remix by The Journey.
Flow Music is proud to present the 9th release on our record label, and to celebrate the fact we are now into double figures, we have welcomed back Josh Richards. It’s a melodic release that blends deep and immersive synths with flutes, soothing vocals and shuffling percussion.
Josh Richards is a young Australian artist from Melbourne who so far has released exclusively on Flow Music and this is the third time he has featured original material. Since making his debut on Flow in 2022, Josh Richards has been building momentum, with this latest release picking up support from people such as Nick Warren, Lonya, Robbie Akbal and Anthony Pappa.
Complementing Josh’s original track ‘Anthurium’ is a remix by The Journey, who are an Australian duo that run the UGENIUS record label. They have also worked with other record labels such as Stil Vor Talent and Bedrock.
“Anthurium” is an atmospheric track that fuses gentle vocal tones with dramatic synth pads and a rumbling bassline. The breakdown introduces organic flute samples before the percussion once again takes hold.
The Journey’s remix of Anthurium is a techy version that thickens the percussion and adds a new pulsating bassline. Using the breakdown section to ramp up the tension and build suspense, the drums are reintroduced alongside an arpeggio synth added by The Journey.
