Guy Maayan drops new organic house EP via Sol Selectas, “Light in the Sky”

The three-track release is out now.

Guy Maayan features his first solo EP on Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas.

Guy Maayan’s new three-track organic house release, Light in the Sky combines live instruments with synthesisers and sampled percussion. The tracks have a Balearic style with trumpets and flowing drums at the heart of scorching grooves.

The release comes via Sol Selectas, which is a leading imprint within the organic house scene. It’s a label that Guy Maayan has released on frequently, and his music can also be found on other record labels such as Shango Records, 3000 Grad Records, • kosa •, Baikal Nomads, and Akbal Music.

All of the tracks on this release are great for a DJ set, and each has a slightly different mood, but all three fit together nicely. “Niache” is the most up-tempo with Afro house rhythms filling the track with a feel-good energy. “Uplaya” also has flowing drums as well as deep pads and breezy synths that create a chilled mood. “Light in the Sky” drops the tempo, and focuses on trippy atmosphere to bring some nice variation to the release.

It’s already proving popular amongst DJs with support coming from the likes of Silicone Soul, Lonya, Djuma Soundsystem and Urmet K.

Overall, it’s a great selection of tracks, and you can buy a copy HERE.
