Last weekend a DJ in Marbella was shot dead at an illegal party in the Spanish city. Der Spiegel reported that two German men have been arrested in relation to the shooting.
The alleged perpetrator who is believed to have fired the lethal shot is 30 years old, and he could face charges of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and failing to provide assistance. His 28-year-old accomplice is being accused of helping attempt to cover-up the crime.
Reports from the local authorities say that the attack took place at a luxurious villa in one of Marbella’s upmarket seaside resorts.
Allegedly, there had been a party going on at the time, and the 40-year-old DJ was playing music at the time of his killing.
The motive is yet to be clarified, but he was shot in the neck and died at the scene before making it to a hospital.
Police found the body on Monday and suspect the luxurious villa to be a rented property.
The investigation is still in full swing, and the possibility of further arrests have not been ruled out while they try to uncover the motive.
Currently, it’s unclear why the two German suspects were in this part of Spain and if they are tourists or residents.
