It’s touring the country between the 4th and 12th of February with headliners such as, Ross From Friends.

Laneway Festival is an Australian festival based in Sydney and they have announced their 2023 return with an impressive line-up including international headliners such as Ross From Friends and Chaos In The CBD.

The event has humble beginnings after starting in 2004 as a weekly events series in a small bar in Melbourne, but over time it expanded until eventually becoming an annual event that tours across Australia. It’s the first time the event has run since 2020 due to the pandemic forcing an unforeseen break in the schedule.

It’s an underground event that covers a range of music styles including house and techno. It starts in Brisbane on the 4th of February before moving to Sydney on the 5th of February. The following weekend it will be in Adelaide on the 10th of February, Melbourne on the 11th of February and finally Perth on the 12th of February.

Alongside, Ross From Friends and Chaos In The CBD, other electronic music DJs and live acts headlining the event include Fred again.. and Australian legend, Harvey Sutherland.

Chaos In The CBD are a pair of New Zealand talents who have earned international respect for their deep and jazzy style of house, and Ross From Friends is a UK artist who helped pioneer the lo-fi house sound. Fred again.. has a bass heavy style that blends broken beats with intricate melodies, pop-inspired vocals, and Harvey Sutherland is a funk and disco connoisseur.

The event also has all the usual festival attractions such as artisan food trucks and licensed bars selling alcoholic refreshments.
