Ramiro Rossotti releases his new EP, Get Lost, which is out now on trueColors, and also includes a remix by Capoon.
From start to finish, it’s a great EP that has a wide range of styles. Each track has its own unique flavour, and this ranges from the trippy vocals in “Get Lost” to the delicate piano keys used in “Three Suns.”
Ramiro Rossotti is an Argentinian artist whose music has been released on record labels ranging from Magician On Duty to Lump Records, and this is his first release on trueColors. He plays regular DJ sets in Buenos Aires, and has performed at events that also play host to the likes of Black Coffee, Guy Gerber, and others of the same calibre.
First up, “Nedu” has a steady groove that unfolds with sparkling synths and swirling pads, while a rolling bass slowly filters into a synthesised slap-and-pop style bassline. “Get Lost (feat. Miki Vos)” is the title track, and it’s got psychedelic lyrics about crossing space and time, which adds to the juddering groove of the bassline arpeggio. “Mysterious Voice” has angelic vocal sounds and expansive pads powered by upbeat conga rhythms. “Dombra” is an Afro house track with a percussive focus and spiralling acid synths. “Three Suns” brings a Balearic vibe to the release with laidback piano melodies and majestic pads intertwining with stripped back drums.
Capoon’s remix of “Get Lost (feat. Miki Vos)” is dramatically different from the original. It still keeps the vocal, but removes the original’s bassline, and adds more drums plus some tense pads. It’s an Afro house remix that’s a lot darker than the original, but is still in line with what he has released through other record labels such as Rebellion, Einmusika, and Moblack Records.
