German-based outfit MEUTE drop ‘Infinite’ and announce new album TAUMEL
It’s been a busy few months for Hamburg’s marching techno band MEUTE. The 12-piece outfit, fresh off the back of remixing Stephan Bodzins’s ‘Boavista’, have just embarked on a 21 date US tour that culminates in their debut at Coachella. If that wasn’t enough, the band have just released their new single, ‘Infinite’, and announced their new album TAUMEL, set for release 18th November.
The band have become synonymous with their high energy performances, and recently performed on the rooftop of Hamburg’s Philharmonie Building. After breaking through covering some of the underground’s most well-known tracks, such as AME’s ‘Rej’, MEUTE have established themselves as accomplished songwriters in their own right.
‘Infinite’ is composted by MEUTE’s marimba player André Wittman, and is punctuated by an infectious groove that builds throughout, enveloped by brass pads and distinguished composition. The track is another example of MEUTE’s ability to finely balance the melodic nature of a brass band with the upbeat rhythm of techno, and offer a glimpse into what fans can expect from the album. Keep your eyes peeled for more from this talented outfit, who will reveal more singles building towards the album, and are set for festival dates and a European tour when they return from the US.
