Magician On Duty is a talented DJ and producer who also runs a label with the same name.

The American artist is a regular at events such as Burning Man along with playing many international gigs when COVID-19 allows such things to happen.

Burning Man would have taken place this weekend in the Nevada Desert, but was forced to cancel its official event due to concerns over the pandemic.

Paying homage to the event, and already looking forward to the 2022 edition, we revisited some of the magical sets from the Virtual Burn that was streamed online in 2020 in place of the in-person event.

Many will have already seen the back-to-back set by Sabo and Goldcap, which was an epic journey through sound, but we particularly enjoyed the desert vibes of the set from Magician On Duty.

Magician On Duty has also created an animated video that really brought his mix to life, and added charming character to the already magical audio.

The video could be considered something of a digital artefact that helps the mix stay relevant for years to come, as it’s now way more than just a selection of other people music that’s blended together.

Two of the highlight tracks from the set include Uone’s track ‘Light Reading 2020 feat. Heath Myers’ and Out Of Sorts’ ‘The Hustler feat. Charles Wood’ that gets played around 20 minutes into the mix.
