A stellar set of underground heroes, scene pioneers and local legends hit Lisbon this August
An essential date on the Lisbon festival calendar, LISB-ON #Jardim Sonoro (Lisb-On Sound Garden) returns to it’s much loved open-air venue at the end of this summer. Set for three days of sunkissed beats and dancing into the dark with unparalleled vibes, Lisb-on now announce new names with Kerri Chandler, Radio Slave, Mr Scruff, Todd Terje, Byron The Aquarius and Margaret Dygas joining Larry Heard, Maceo Plex, Antal, Jayda G, Tama Sumo and more. Striking a balance between global heavyweights and Portuguese breakouts, LISB-ON shines a light on its thriving underground whilst inviting acclaimed names to play.
LISB-ON / FRIDAY
From 29th August to 3rd September, LISB-ON hosts 30 artists over two stages. This year, the offering is even richer as an unbeatable line up of electronic royalty join the party. On Friday, find the inimitable Rødhåd on the Main Stage, armed with industrial, fist pumpers. He’ll be joined by Radio Slave, Disco king Todd Terje, Michael Mayer and Portugal’s own HNRQ. Stage Two is all about house music most treasured faces; catch Rush Hour’s Antal, Jayda G, Sassy J, Byron The Aquarius and more bringing feel good vibes.
LISB-ON / SATURDAY
On day two, the legendary Maceo Plex is set to headlining the Main Stage with a very special extended 5 hour session. Meanwhile, a renowned band from the 90’s is still to be revealed – eyes peeled for this! Vakula is set to bring oddities and ambience to the beautiful sound garden. Father Son duo, Pedro Tenreiro and Joao Tenreiro rep for the locals with a bag full of sonic history. Moving on to stage two, revered selectors Tama Sumo, Young Marco and Lakuti, and Tozé Diogo will bring the heat.
LISB-ON SUNDAY
The final day, Sunday’s line up rounds off the weekend with a serious agenda of house heaven. Originator, Kerri Chandler, heads to Lisbon for the festival’s finale, with Larry Heard aka Mr.Fingers performing a magical live show. Both artists are renowned for shaping underground electronic music into it’s form today. Mr Scruff, Daniele Baldelli and local, Liamba, will also join. Stage Two is all about minimal and techno grooves from the one and only Margaret Dygas, plus one of USA’s best kept secrets – Titonton Duvante live, an underground hero with a career spanning two decades. Ministerium Club residents and LISB_ON family members Joao Maria and Diogo Lacerda will flex the sounds pulsing through Portugal’s electronic music world.
