After several years as a fashion industry professional, Chambray, aka André Rost, signed to Jimmy Edgar’s esteemed Ultramajic imprint in 2014 after a chance demo submission caught the ear of the dance music legend. In 2016, Rost performed at Boiler Room Berlin after being personally invited to test out the PLAYDifferently mixer by Richie Hawtin.
DJ Mag 2018’s “Best Label of North America”, DIRTYBIRD, seems a fitting progression for the rising icon. This milestone release brings Chambray’s distinct sound to the famed American label, crossing boundaries while appealing to them all.
