Café Mambo is an iconic part of music culture in Ibiza
Since opening in 1994, Café Mambo has hosted DJ sets from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Annie Mac, Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim and Swedish House Mafia.
Many consider Café Mambo one of the best locations to watch the Ibiza sunset, and DJ’s from across the globe consider it a rite of passage to play a set there as day turns to night. It’s famed for having a chill-out music policy, and in addition to the beachfront venue, it’s also a bar and restaurant.
Teaming up with Absolut, Café Mambo running a DJ competition where the winner gets to play a sunset set at the legendary location. The competition winner will also get flights to Ibiza and up to three nights accommodation and use of the facilities at the Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa with one guest.
The competition is running until the 31st of August, and those wishing to enter only need to upload a 30 minute DJ set to Mixcloud. It must be a chill-out mix with the tag #CafeMamboAbsolutDJCompetition.
Only mixes with over 50 plays will be considered on the shortlist of potential competition winners, and finalists will be judged by Café Mambo’s resident DJs including Jason Bye, Andy Baxter, Danny O, Sara de Araújo.
Mixes that follow the criteria for entry must be uploaded before the 31st of August and the winner will be announced on 15th September.
