Wax’o Paradiso is an Australian record label and event series run by Simon TK and Edd Fisher.
Based in Melbourne they champion psychedelic music with analogue sounds and downtempo grooves ranging from leftfield electronica to deep techno.
Their parties are famous around the Melbourne area for their pop-up locations such as floating rooftop gardens, luscious convents, shipping containers and train yards.
On the 14th of January they are celebrating at the Wax’o Paradiso ten-year anniversary with an outdoor party at the Abbotsford Convent, on the Heritage Lawn.
The event starts at 2pm and will feature DJ sets from organisers Edd Fisher and Simon TK along with fellow Melbourne locals Katie Pearson and Yawung. The event will also feature a live set from Hybrid Man who are an up-and-coming duo from Australia that have been making a splash on the international scene with the help of their releases on record labels such as Butter Sessions, Mushroom and Paper-Cuts.
Talking about their event on Instagram, the organisers said: “We’re absolutely blown away by the kind words and support, this is our biggest party ever and we’re well on track for a sellout. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!”
Bringing your own alcohol won’t be allowed, but it’s recommended that you bring food so that you are energised for a day of dancing and chilling in the sun.
