Maximum Joy 2023 is a one-day festival taking place at the University Of Sydney’s Manning Bar on Friday the 10th of March.
Starting at 7 pm and running until 3 am on Saturday morning, it’s an impressive line-up of underground talent with international headliners including the likes of Ben UFO, Jennifer Cardini, DJ Stingray 313, DJ EZ and Young Marco, plus many others from different parts of the world.
Ben UFO is an iconic DJ from the UK who first rose to fame as the label owner of Hessle Audio which is an imprint that pioneered the merge of techno and dubstep in the ‘00s. Ben UFO has proven himself to be an eclectic DJ with incredible mixing skills, and the ability to get the crowd eating out of his hand.
Jennifer Cardini is a French artist based out of Berlin, she is known for her chugging acid grooves, and for being the label owner of Correspondant.
DJ Stingray 313 is a pioneering DJ from Detroit who is known for his dark and dystopian style of electro and performing sets wearing a ski mask that covers his face.
DJ EZ is a pioneering UK Garage DJ who since the ‘90s has been at has been rocking dance floors with the seductive sounds of two-step grooves.
Young Marco is a dutch artist known for his raw and analogue style of house music which fused lo-fi beats with dreamy analogue melodies.
Others also playing as part of the star-studded line-up include Call Super, KI/KI, Kilimi, Kim Ann Foxman, Lady Shaka, Leon Vynehall (live), Moktar, Pea Oh Ma, Rydeen and Tangela.
