Antrim – Change/Clear Moon Day (Stripped)

Argentinian producer Antrim returns to Stripped for a double A-side, with ‘Change’ and “Clear Moon Day’.

‘Change’ drops the tempo down to a cool 117bpm, and features skipping kicks, a drifting, warm melodic theme, a dubby bassline, and disembodied male and female vocals. It’s the pads that really bring the track to life; they’re bold and bright and uplifting, and they work really well with the rippling pianos that Antrim adds later in the track. Given the tempo and the vibe, it’s probably more of a headphones moment than one for the dancefloor, but it’s really quite lovely.

‘Clear Moon Day’ is a more typical slice of prog, but it’s seriously nice too. A simple offbeat bassline and some crisp percussion provides the backdrop for sparkling retro synth melodies and some weird vocal chanting, and Antrim wisely resists overcomplicating the track, keeping things laid-back and uncluttered.

Antrim and Stripped serve up two sweet, melodic cuts here that are bound to improve your summer soundtrack if you let them.
