Due to the pandemic and its associated travel restrictions, Dimensions has postponed its 2021 event to run between September 2nd and 6th.
Love International and Hospitality On The Beach were also scheduled to run in Croatia this year, but instead, they have been pushed back until 2022.
All three of the festival events were scheduled to run in July at The Garden Tisno, but due to the fact most of the attendees will be flying from other parts of Europe, they have had no choice but to postpone.
Many of the people attending would be from the UK, which has placed Croatia on their amber list for travel, meaning that all visitors have to quarantine and take PCR tests upon returning home. Other countries have their own travel restrictions in place, and this uncertainty about ticket holders being able to travel has left organisers with few options.
The pandemic’s restrictions may also impact the quality of the festival experience, plus of course, there is also the risk of a COVID-19 outbreak to consider.
Dimensions gave a statement speaking of their disappointment about having to postpone: “We did all we could to make July happen, however, as things stand, there’s still a high level of uncertainty about events taking place in Croatia in early summer and continued unpredictability surrounding travel and the ability to deliver a high-class event. The safety of our customers, staff, artists and the local Croatian people is of utmost importance to us.
“By moving later in the summer, we can ensure a safer event and better protection from the virus. This gives us confidence the festival will become a reality and we’ll finally be able to get together for this long-awaited celebration (it’s needed more than ever)! We’re closely monitoring the on-going situation and will keep everyone updated.”
