Traktor Pro Is Now Compatible With Beatport LINK

People can use Native Instruments DJ software to play anything from the music stores catalogue without having to buy individual tracks.

Traktor Pro Native Instruments has updated Traktor Pro 3 to be compatible with Beatport LINK and Beatsource LINK.

Beatport LINK and Beatsource LINK are services that allow Beatport’s complete catalogue to be streamed online in full, and provide an almost limitless pool for DJs to source music from without needing to purchase individual tracks.

This means, that all someone needs to build an instant music collection is a monthly subscription and a good internet connection.

For those who don’t know what separates these services… Beatport LINK is where Beatport’s music can be streamed online, and Beatsource LINK is an open format service that allows playlists to be made, and the playlisted tracks from Beatport to be streamed offline.

Traktor Pro is mixing software that allows people to DJ using a laptop plus optional choice of controller. It’s one of the most popular pieces of DJ software, so being compatible with the LINK services is something of a landmark moment.

Both of the LINK services were already compatible with other DJ software and hardware such as in rekordbox DJ, VirtualDJ, Serato, Denon DJ hardware and more.

Traktor Pro also offers Beatport LINK’s locker feature, which allows you to store up to 100 tracks offline, while tracks that you download in real-time are cached before they play in order to avoid any outages or connection issues.

Any tracks loaded from Beatport can have cue points, loop points, and labelling notes added. Labelling notes will remain as part of the track when loaded again, even if you don’t own the track or have it in your locker.

Traktor Pro 3 with Beatport and Beatsource LINK is now available to the public in Beta format, and you can find out more HERE
